  • Dr. Ambuj Sharma, Department of Philosophy, Dev Samaj College for Women, Ferozepur City, Punjab.

    Areas of Interest: Social and Political Philosophy, Applied Ethics, Gandhi, Hind swaraj, honour Killing
    Activities during visit: Participate in Punjab Today seminar,Two lectures in Political Sociology


  • Prof. Maurice BlochRetd. Professor, Department of Anthropology, London School of Economics, UK.
    17th February – 1st of March, 2014
    Areas of Interest: Religion, kinship, economics, politics and language
    Activities during visit:
    1. Public lecture  titled “How religion came about”  on the 25th of February, 2014  at 3:15 P.M. in the Lecture Theatre, Delhi School of Economics, Delhi University
    2. Lecture on Department day titled “The extraordinary privilege of being an anthropologist.” on the occasion of Department Day on the 28th of February, 2014. 
    3. Two lectures in the Sociology of Religion
