AD-HOC ASSISTANT PROFESSOR/GUEST LECTURER IN THE DEPARTMENT OF SOCIOLOGY, DELHI UNIVERSITY
(ACADEMIC SEMESTER 2015-2016)
The Department wishes to appoint ad-hoc Assistant Professor/Guest Lecturer. Candidates who wish to be considered are required to submit their bio-data (including copies of mark-sheets and degrees) in the department office latest by Monday 4th January, 2016. The date of the interview and the list of short-listed candidates will be notified on the Department website as well as on the Notice Board of the Department. Candidates can also call the Department.
Please note that selected candidates will be required to take up teaching and/or tutorial duties immediately,
Candidates are required to fulfil the following eligibility conditions:
(i) Good academic record with at least 55% marks (50% for SC/ST/PH) or an equivalent grade at the Master’s degree level in Sociology, Social Anthropology or allied social science discipline from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from a foreign University.
Candidates who do not have an M.A. in Sociology MUST have both an awarded M.Phil. AND a Ph.D. (in hand, submitted, or in final stage of submission as attested by Supervisor) in Sociology.
Among candidates who have an M.A. in Sociology, preference will be given to those who possess a research degree – M.Phil./Ph.D. -- in Sociology/Social Anthropology.
(ii) Besides fulfilling the above conditions candidates must possesses NET/SLET.
Candidates should state the following along with other papers:-
(a) Contact address and telephone numbers.
(b) Whether they belong to SC/ST/OBC/Physically handicapped categories (Please ensure inclusion of the certificate of SC/ST/OBC/Physically handicapped).
(c) Complete list of publications.
