Rita Brara

Brief Introduction: Rita Brara,  M.A., M.Phil., Ph. D. (Delhi), is Senior Fellow, ICSSR. Professor Brara Retired as Professor from the Department of Sociology, University of Delhi in January 2016.

She works in the areas of environment, climate change and society, popular and visual culture, kinship and rural/agrarian development. She is carrying out an in-depth study of the National Green Tribunal, India. She is the author of Shifting Landscapes: The Making and Remaking of Village Commons in India (2006).
