If you are an applicant for the 2nd round of admissions in the PhD program, Department of Sociology, you were required to submit your research proposal to the department as per the Notice on the department website.
In case you have not done so, you are required to submit your proposal immediately using THIS LINK only (and not via email) as per the instructions given in the previous notice and the proposal submission form.
Since many students failed to submit the proposals as per the previous timeline, the date has been extended till the 26th of December 2023, 5 PM after which proposals will not be accepted. You are however strongly advised to do the needed as soon as possible.
Submission of proposals to the department via the google form is compulsory for being called for Department Level Test (DLT) and Interview (in addition to your application to DU as per the DU notification available on the Department website).
The DLT is scheduled to be held on the 12th of January and interviews will be held in the week thereafter.
Outstation candidates should fill this form if they would like us to consider any possibility of adjustment in their interview schedule. This should also be filled by the 26th of December 5 PM. Later requests for adjustments may not be entertained.
A revised list of candidates who have submitted the proposal will be displayed on the Department website on the 27th of December.
Please do not resend the proposal if you have already done so. Revised proposals sent at this stage will not be accepted if you have already submitted one previously.
